Basketball Recap: Lakeside Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Lakeside won the last time they faced Fox Creek, and Kobi Barnes did her part to make sure it happened again. The Lakeside Panthers simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Fox Creek Predators 67-34 thanks in part to Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 40 points and 15 boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lakeside's points.

Elise Graybill was another key player, putting up six points along with ten boards and eight assists. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played.

Several Predators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jada Jennings, who posted ten points and five rebounds. Mia Price was another key player, posting nine points.

The victory made it two in a row for Lakeside and bumps their season record up to 5-6. As for Fox Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-27 win against Effingham County on the 7th. As for Fox Creek, they will venture away from home to take on Augusta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
