Basketball Recap: Caden Anderson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Trinity Christian over Upson-Lee

Trinity Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 60-41 to the Upson-Lee Knights. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Knights are ranked 83rd).

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Anderson, who posted seven points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Anderson has posted since back in January of 2024. Cameron Wallace was another key player, putting up ten points.

Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Upson-Lee, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sandy Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Sandy Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games. As for Upson-Lee, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Troup County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Troup County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 68.5 points per game this season.
