Softball Recap: Mansfield Comes Up Short

After soaring to 19 runs the game before, Mansfield was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They came up short against the Castor Tigers, falling 16-1. If the Wolverines were looking for revenge after losing 15-0 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mansfield has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Castor, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Mansfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Red River on the 28th. As for Castor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 12-7 win against Simsboro on the 30th.
