Football Recap: Guyer Falls to Aledo in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Guyer had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 21-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aledo Bearcats. While the Wildcats had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Bearcats 7-0.

Guyer lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Zephyr Kreye, who rushed for 80 yards, and also threw for 93 yards and one TD. Kaedyn Cobbs was another key player, rushing for 80 yards and one score.

Aledo's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaden Winkfield, who rushed for 85 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Guyer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-21 win against Martin on the 5th. As for Aledo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 18-0 victory against Lancaster on the 5th.
