Firestone waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Garfield Heights Bulldogs 3-0.

Firestone walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-4, 25-17.

Calvin Cooper paced Firestone's offense, picking up nine kills. Cooper got some help from Tala Paing and his 17 assists. Elijah Myers controlled things from the service line, finishing with 13 aces.

Firestone's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Garfield Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Firestone will challenge rival Carrollton at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Garfield Heights is set to take on their familiar foe Bedford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
