Basketball Recap: Dakota Amos Key Part of a Team Effort in Rebels Win

Richton's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Christian Collegiate Academy Bulldogs by a score of 70-59.

Richton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dakota Amos led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards. Amos has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Daylin Carter was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 17 points and four steals.

Richton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Christian Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Richton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-40 victory against Jefferson Davis County on the 26th. As for Christian Collegiate Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 52-50 loss against Bay on the 28th.
