Volleyball Recap: Canton Comes Up Short

Canton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Troy Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Saturday.

While Canton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20, 25-20.

Canton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Troy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 10-1-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Canton is set to challenge their familiar foe South Williamsport at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Troy will square off against rival Wellsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
