Mountainburg came tearing into Friday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Life Way Christian Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Dragons: when they faced off against the Warriors on April 3rd, they had to take a 10-5 defeat.

Ryan Allen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Caedmon Cowett was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Mountainburg pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Life Way Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-3.

Coming up, Mountainburg will head out to challenge Greenland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Life Way Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
