Beechwood and Holmes are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Tigers will face off against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Beechwood will be strutting in after a win while Holmes will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Beechwood turned things around against Dayton on Tuesday. They blew past the Greendevils 22-12. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Holmes' offense. They came up short against Walton-Verona on Tuesday, falling 17-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Beechwood's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Holmes, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

Everything went Beechwood's way against Holmes in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Beechwood made off with a 22-7 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
