Softball Recap: Chequamegon Drops Season-High Score on Northland Pines

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chequamegon). They put the hurt on the Northland Pines Eagles with a sharp 17-2 victory on Friday. The Screaming Eagles not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024 (when they won 26-8).

Chequamegon's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Northland Pines, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Chequamegon has already played their next game (against Stratford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northland Pines, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-12 loss against Crivitz on the 10th.
