Basketball Game Preview: Shaker Heights Red Raiders vs. Medina Battling Bees

Shaker Heights is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They are headed away from home for the first time to square off against the Medina Battling Bees at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Shaker Heights can't be too happy about their upcoming road contest considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Villa Angela-St. Joseph.

Meanwhile, Medina lost to Garfield Heights on the road by a 76-58 margin on Tuesday. The Battling Bees haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Shaker Heights skirted past Medina 56-54 in their previous meeting back in January. Do the Red Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Battling Bees turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
