Basketball Recap: St. Johns Classical Academy Comes Up Short at Home Against Global Outreach Charter Academy

St. Johns Classical Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Global Outreach Charter Academy Kodiaks on Monday, falling 45-11. The Lions' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

Global Outreach Charter Academy found their leader in sophomore Quetiushka Rivera, who posted 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rivera has scored all season. Azirah Phillips was another key player, putting up nine points.

The win made it two in a row for Global Outreach Charter Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

St. Johns Classical Academy will host Harvest Community at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Global Outreach Charter Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-22 loss against First Baptist Christian Academy on the 10th.
