Soccer Game Preview: East vs. Dixie

The East Leopards will take on the Dixie Flyers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East comes in on seven and Dixie on five.

East is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Orem with a sharp 5-1 win. Considering East have won 13 matches by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Orem with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aden Franz (2), Jancarlo Vera, Teo Hummasti, and Kai Halstenrud-Updyke.

Meanwhile, Dixie kept a clean sheet against Judge Memorial Catholic on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Give Dixie's defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Dixie's win bumped their record up to 13-4. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
