Basketball Game Preview: Severn Run Wolves vs. Old Mill Patriots

The Severn Run Wolves will face off against the Old Mill Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, Severn Run took a blow against Chesapeake, falling 53-25. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Cougars are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 60-31, which was the final score in Old Mill's tilt against Broadneck on Tuesday.

Old Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Severn Run, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Severn Run ended up a good deal behind Old Mill when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 60-41. Can Severn Run avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
