Football Game Preview: North Dickinson Nordics vs. Rapid River Rockets + How To Watch

For the first time this season, North Dickinson will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will square off against the Rapid River Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Dickinson will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak dating back to last season.

North Dickinson hadn't beaten Ontonagon on the road since October 18, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Nordics blew past the Gladiators 62-42.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rapid River, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by a 58-32 margin over Forest Park on Friday. The Rockets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

North Dickinson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rapid River, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Everything came up roses for North Dickinson against Rapid River in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 52-0 victory. Will the Nordics repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
