Volleyball Game Preview: Mosinee Indians vs. Reedsburg Beavers

The Mosinee Indians will square off against the Reedsburg Beavers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mosinee is coming into the match hot, having won their last 18 games.

Mosinee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Merrill 3-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Mosinee took every set by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-14.

Taelyn Jirschele had a dynamite game, getting 14 digs and three aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Mosinee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Reedsburg beat Mauston 3-1 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won five in a row.

Mosinee better keep an eye on Rhianna Schommer. She was instrumental in Reedsburg's win, getting nine digs and four aces.

Mosinee's victory bumped their record up to 34-3. As for Reedsburg, their win bumped their record up to 18-19.
