Baseball Recap: Wheaton Academy's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

Wheaton Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kaneland, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Warriors fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered since April 30th.

Wheaton Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dom Murrell, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Wheaton Academy moved to 21-15 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Kaneland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season.
