Basketball Recap: Locust Grove Comes Up Short

Locust Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 28th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 62-23 loss at the hands of the Woodland Wolfpack. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 93rd).

Locust Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Woodland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Locust Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Woodland, they will host McDonough at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Woodland's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while McDonough has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
