Holyoke extends road losing streak to seven

Recap: Holyoke Purple Knights vs. Springfield International
The Holyoke Purple Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 51-37 fall against Springfield International.
Leading Springfield International to victory were Zahara Kibodya-Wilson and Giavanna Mars. Kibodya-Wilson scored 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Mars scored 22 points along with six rebounds and six steals. Mars is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Allanah Chambers was another key contributor, scoring three points along with 14 rebounds and six steals.
Holyoke dropped their record down to 1-6 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Springfield International, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holyoke will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Northampton at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Springfield International, they will challenge Longmeadow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
