After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carroll, Emmanuel Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Southeastern Local Trojans 3-2. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Emmanuel Christian Academy wouldn't go down easily and took Southeastern Local into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-14, 25-21, 18-25, 15-9.

Macey Hudson paced Emmanuel Christian Academy's offense, picking up 26 kills. Hudson got some help from Mya Lawrence and her 45 assists. Finally, Hudson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

The victory snapped Emmanuel Christian Academy's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-4 record. As for Southeastern Local, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Emmanuel Christian Academy will venture away from home to challenge Yellow Springs at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southeastern Local, they will head out to face off against Greenon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
