Basketball Recap: Immanuel Christian Takes a Loss

Immanuel Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Freedom Life Academy Patriots, falling 50-15.

When it comes to explaining why Immanuel Christian lost, don't look at Ethan Tisdale. Despite the final result, he posted eight points.

Freedom Life Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin Solomon led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Solomon has scored at least a third of the Patriots' points. Ian Sanders was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Immanuel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Freedom Life Academy, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Immanuel Christian has already played their next game, a 61-22 defeat against Psalms Christian Academy on the 21st. As for Freedom Life Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-22 win against Mount Olive Christian on the 18th.
