Murdock came into Friday's   matchup having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  6-4  victory over the Prouty Panthers  on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Blue Devils have posted  since April 24th.
 Kassandra Santos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Madelyn Santos was  excellent,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple and one  run. That  triple was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Sadie Bauver, who  went 1-for-4 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI.
Murdock's victory bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Prouty,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-4.
 Coming up, Murdock will challenge Montachusett RVT at 3:45  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Prouty, they will square off against Leicester at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday.
