Castro Valley entered their tilt with Foothill on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 13-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Trojans' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Falcons are ranked 240th).

The critical scores for Castro Valley came from Ella Stahl-Rhodes and Eva Wesela.

One reason for the win was Castro Valley's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. In that department, Wesela was the leader with two. She got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Castro Valley's victory bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Foothill, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Castro Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against Granada on the 13th. As for Foothill, they will welcome Dublin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gaels will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
