After flying high against Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit last Tuesday, More came back down to earth. The More Knights took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles on Thursday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

More's loss came despite strong showings from Jacob Bumb and Conrad Schaper. Bumb went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and eight boards, while Schaper posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Schaper is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Quentin Vogel, who put up five points and seven boards.

Even though they lost, More smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive games.

More's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for University Prep Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

More didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 76-48 defeat against St. Monica Academy on the 17th. University Prep Academy has also already played their next contest, a 50-40 loss against North Valley Baptist on the 17th.
