Basketball Recap: Compass Charter Drops Season-High Score on Council + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Compass Charter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 57-53 win over the Council Lumberjacks. The Aviators' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Compass Charter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Hymas led the charge by putting up eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. That's the most boards Hymas has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Felgenhauer, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

The victory got Compass Charter back to even at 2-2. As for Council, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Compass Charter will square off against Emmett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Council, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Homedale at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
