It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Compass Charter ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They managed a 57-53 victory over the Council Lumberjacks. The Aviators' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Compass Charter was led to victory by Colton Felgenhauer and Payton Hymas. Felgenhauer almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards, while Hymas went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Felgenhauer has also also been stellar as far as field goal percentage is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Carson Roberts, who posted six points.

Compass Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

The win got Compass Charter back to even at 2-2. As for Council, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Compass Charter will square off against Emmett at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Council, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Homedale at 2:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026.
