Football Recap: Greenwood Christian Academy Skates Past Phalen Leadership Academy with Ease

There's no place like home for Greenwood Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Phalen Leadership Academy Falcon 50-0 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2022.

Trey Dobson was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 54 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (177.1). Greenwood Christian Academy's leading receiver Isaiah Johnson Jr was Dobson's top target yet again, picking up 66 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 30 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Greenwood Christian Academy's defense and their four sacks. Phalen Leadership Academy's QB won't forget Vance Boyce anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Greenwood Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Phalen Leadership Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
