Liam Pesce of Forman ran for the longest rushing play in Hudson Valley this season against Dwight-Englewood last week. Pesce ran for 62 yards on the play and finished with 186 on the day as his team lost to the Bulldogs.
Horace Mann moved up to 72 from 612 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lions were able to move up by topping New York Military Academy 36-6.
Forman's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. John Wiggins threw for 61 yards and Josh Meister had 24 yards receiving. On the ground Pesce chipped in 186 yards.
Mac Garnett was a key player and the best on defense this week as Zack Zampaglione's team fell to Dwight-Englewood. The 6-foot-2 senior recorded 2 fumbles.
Pesce provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Lions lost to Jim Panepinto's team. Pesce's favorite target this week was Meister, who caught 3 passes for 24 yards.
Pesce was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Wiggins added to the ground attack by rushing for 62 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Wiggins and Pesce, Forman has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Wiggins leads the league in passing with 61 yards, while Pesce has rushed for 186 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Dalton's Adam Philipps, with 30 yards on 3 catches.
A big matchup in Hudson Valley this week will be when Harvey takes on the Tigers. As it stands, the Cavaliers are in fifth, while Dalton is in second.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Harvey takes on Roy Samuelsen's team. Kevin Avery's team has allowed 19 points this season, while the Tigers have given up 6.
Horace Mann led the league in scoring this week by notching 36 points on the Knights.
