Basketball Recap: St. Regis Wins Going Away Against Two Eagle River

A well-balanced attack led St. Regis over Two Eagle River in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. The St. Regis Tigers were the clear victor by a 56-32 margin over the Two Eagle River Eagles. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Two Eagle River's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dayani Piapot, who posted six points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Piapot is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 13 games she's played dating back to last season. Layla Tenas was another key player, putting up nine points.

St. Regis has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Two Eagle River, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

St. Regis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-18 victory against Noxon on the 25th. Two Eagle River has also already played their next contest, a 51-29 loss against Heart Butte on the 31st.
