Forest Lake Christian is facing Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning at the wrong time: Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning suffered their first home loss of the season on Thursday and they're likely out for redemption. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 21-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Forest Lake Christian had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Victory Christian 3-0 on Thursday.

While Forest Lake Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 28-26, 25-5, 25-17.

Forest Lake Christian found their leader in freshman Brody Carlton, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Carlton. Jacob Stosen also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Forest Lake Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. They served six more aces than Victory Christian's also-impressive total of ten.

Forest Lake Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.

Everything went Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning's way against Forest Lake Christian when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Sierra Academy of Expeditionary Learning made off with a 3-0 victory.
