Football Recap: Pulaski Academy Skates Past Little Rock Southwest with Ease

There's no place like home for Pulaski Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-22 victory over the Little Rock Southwest Gryphons. With the Bruins ahead 26-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Pulaski Academy was led to victory by William Svoboda and Mason Greathouse. Svoboda picked up 82 receiving yards and a pair of scores, while Greathouse picked up 50 receiving yards and one touchdown. Svoboda is also on a roll when it comes to receiving touchdowns, as he's now hauled in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Pulaski Academy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Little Rock Southwest to a completion percentage of just 41.7%. The Bruins have been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.63 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.63 in their last three games.

Pulaski Academy's defense also made the game a nightmare for Derrick Vasser, racking up ten sacks. TJ Logan led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. The game marked Andrew Manning's first with multiple sacks this season.

Little Rock Southwest lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Vasser, who rushed for 79 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 60 yards and one touchdown.

Pulaski Academy moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Little Rock Southwest, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
