Softball Recap: Sam Rayburn Takes a Loss

Sam Rayburn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Dobie Longhorns, falling 17-1. That's two games in a row now that the Texans have lost by exactly 16 runs.

Sam Rayburn saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hazel Hernandez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Dobie, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sam Rayburn will take on rival Pasadena Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dobie is set to square off against their familiar foe Alvin at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
