Baseball Game Preview: Lakeside Eagles vs. Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors

The Lakeside Eagles will square off against the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lakeside has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lakeside lost 12-6 to Freeman on Tuesday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Scotties recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lakeside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kannon Almond, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Almira-Coulee-Hartline put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Odessa a 19-0 shutout. Considering the Warriors have won eight contests by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, their win bumped their record up to 9-0.
