Basketball Recap: Athens Takes a Loss

Athens lost against Martin back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Athens Indians fell to the Martin Clippers 46-40. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Athens' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Martin, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Athens will square off against Burr Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Athens is facing Burr Oak at the right time seeing as Burr Oak is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Martin, they will host Kellogg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
