Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Inland Lakes). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Pellston Hornets 87-10. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Hornets are ranked 622nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Inland Lakes, bringing their record for this year to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.3 points over those games. As for Pellston, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Coming up, Inland Lakes will host Mancelona at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pellston, they will venture away from home to challenge Alanson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
