Recap: Ramona Rams vs. Poly Bears
With a playoff game on the line, the Ramona Rams rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bears as they made off with a 38-17 victory. The result was nothing new for Ramona, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Sincere Tolbert, who rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Tolbert has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Acosta, who threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes.
The win (which was Ramona's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.8 points per game. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
Ramona will head out on the road to face off against Torrance at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Torrance is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
