Soccer Game Preview: Green River vs. Jackson Hole

The Green River Wolves will challenge the Jackson Hole Broncs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Green River is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Star Valley on Saturday. Neither Green River nor Star Valley could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Green River had to tread lightly for part of the game as Braxton Doak and Gavin Mares were both handed yellow cards, which could explain the final result.

Meanwhile, Jackson Hole and Kelly Walsh combined for 14 shots on goal last Saturday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. Jackson Hole was the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Kelly Walsh. Jackson Hole haven't had any issues with Kelly Walsh recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Jackson Hole hit Kelly Walsh with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jairo Centeno (2), Kyrem Beristain, and Vicente Villasana.

Jackson Hole's win bumped their record up to 2-0. Green River's draw gives them a new season record of 2-0-1.

Green River suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Jackson Hole in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. Can Green River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
