Martin is 9-1 against South Grand Prairie since October of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Martin will head out to square off against South Grand Prairie at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Martin comes in on six and South Grand Prairie on eight.
On Tuesday, Martin made easy work of Haltom and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Martin took every set by at least 16 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-9, 25-5.

Martin relied on the efforts of Emma Nguyen, who had five digs and three aces, and Kaitlyn Bush, who had 15 assists and six digs. Nguyen is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Journey Barrrow also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Meanwhile, South Grand Prairie earned a 3-1 win over Grand Prairie on Tuesday.
South Grand Prairie had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-12, 25-5, 25-13.
Martin better focus on containing Raegen Richardson and Ryleigh Goss as the pair were huge in South Grand Prairie's win. Richardson had 27 assists and 19 digs, while Goss had 24 kills and five digs. Those 27 assists gave Richardson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jeidan Russell, who had 11 kills, seven digs, and two aces.
Martin's record is now 19-16. As for South Grand Prairie, their record now sits at 21-9.
