Cotter came tearing into Thursday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Ozark Mountain a 13-0 shutout. Give Cotter's pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Myah McNutt made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Riley Brotherton was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Gracyn Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Cotter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in 12 consecutive games.

Cotter pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Ozark Mountain, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

As of now, neither Cotter nor Ozark Mountain have any future games scheduled.
