Basketball Recap: Bishop England Sets Scoring Season-High Against Colleton County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop England). They enjoyed a cozy 75-58 win over the Colleton County Cougars on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-53 last Wednesday.

Bishop England was led to victory by Lang Tarrant and Drew Gallagher. Tarrant went 7 of 9 to rack up 20 points and five rebounds, while Gallagher went 8 for 14 en route to 21 points and seven boards. Tarrant's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Sam Pelsnik was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

Bishop England was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Colleton County still got an impressive performance from Amauri Sanders, who posted 26 points. That's the most points Sanders has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Da'Veon Varner, who had ten points.

Bishop England is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points over those games. As for Colleton County, they dropped their record down to 8-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
