Recap: Seacrest Country Day Stingrays vs. Evangelical Christian Sentinels

It was a good run, but the Seacrest Country Day Stingrays unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 68-51 bruising from Evangelical Christian. Seacrest Country Day has struggled against Evangelical Christian recently, as their game on Tuesday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Seacrest Country Day's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kailee Hayhurst, who scored 19 points. Madison D'Elia was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.

Zaira Mitchell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Evangelical Christian, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mitchell has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie O'berski, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

Seacrest Country Day's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Evangelical Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Seacrest Country Day will head out on the road to square off against Bishop Verot at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Verot will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Evangelical Christian will take on Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neumann has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three contests.
