Softball Recap: Albertville Aggies vs. Asbury Rams
Albertville got themselves on the board against Asbury on Friday, but Asbury never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Asbury Rams as they made off with a 13-0 victory. The Aggies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.
Chloe Reed made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Kendra McCaffrey was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run was her first of the season. Katy Grace Willoughby was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
