Football Game Preview: Mead Panthers vs. Gonzaga Prep Bullpups + How To Watch

Mead hasn't had much luck against Gonzaga Prep recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Panthers will square off against the Bullpups at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Mead 10.9, Gonzaga Prep 8.1) so any points scored will be well earned.

On Friday, Mead came up short against Cheney and fell 24-14.

Meanwhile, Gonzaga Prep put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Central Valley, posting a 49-7 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.

Mead better keep an eye on Jonah Keller. He was instrumental in Gonzaga Prep's win, rushing for 149 yards and four TDs on only eight carries. Sam Kincaid was another key player, throwing for 117 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Gonzaga Prep was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 151 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Mead's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Gonzaga Prep, their record now sits at 7-0.

Mead couldn't quite get it done against Gonzaga Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 28-21. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
