After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Legacy Prep Christian Academy, Frassati Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Kelly Catholic Bulldogs by a score of 42-29. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in January, they had to take a 41-40 defeat.

Despite the loss, Kelly Catholic still got an impressive performance from Mattie Holmes, who posted 11 points and six steals. Holmes is becoming a predictor of Kelly Catholic's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 5-2 (and 8-15 when she doesn't). Abigail Brown was another key player, putting up five points and three steals.

Frassati Catholic's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 5-9. As for Kelly Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Frassati Catholic beat Kelly Catholic by a score of 44-41 on February 11th.
