Baseball Recap: Northeastern Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Holmes, Northeastern was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Pasquotank County Panthers 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-4 last Monday.

The team relied heavily on Michael Everett, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Northeastern: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-14 otherwise. Jermaine Dashiell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one RBI.

Northeastern's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Pasquotank County, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Northeastern will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
