Softball Recap: Little Miami's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Little Miami dropped their record down to 16-7 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Lebanon Warriors, falling 10-3. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this match were averaging 3.7 runs allowed.

Bella Houillion made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

As for Lebanon, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.

On Lebanon's side, Sophia Sheidler spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up 12 Ks. Sheidler has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sophie Abrams was incredible, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Paislie Stansberry was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Coming up, Little Miami will square off against West Clermont at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Wolves at the right time seeing as the Wolves are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lebanon, they will face off against Greenville at 5:15 p.m. on Monday.
