Football Recap: Boston College High Takes a Loss

If Boston College High was riding high fresh off their 28-7 takedown of Everett last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles lost 35-13 to the Bishop Feehan Shamrocks on Saturday. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Bishop Feehan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Mordas, who threw for 215 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 17 passes. What's more, Mordas racked up 152.2 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Xavier Baker was another key back, gaining 144 total yards and two touchdowns.

Boston College High's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bishop Feehan, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Boston College High will welcome St. John's Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boston College High will need to watch out since St. John's Prep has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Bishop Feehan, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Fenwick at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
