             West Brunswick and Topsail are an even 5-5 against one another  since October of 2014, but  not for long. After both having extra time off,  the two teams will dust off their jerseys to  square off against  one another  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. West Brunswick is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 West Brunswick will bounce into Friday's   match after  beating North Myrtle Beach, who they hadn't topped in seven consecutive meetings. West Brunswick managed  a  32-27 victory over North Myrtle Beach  last Friday.
 Meanwhile, Topsail came into Saturday's   matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped back in August as they easily beat Dixon 59-18 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win the Pirates have posted  since August 25, 2023.
 Topsail's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Eli Hebron, who rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, and also threw for 126 yards and three touchdowns on only eight passes. The dominant performance gave  Hebron a new career-high in  rushing yards.  Damarion Smith was  Hebron's top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
 West Brunswick's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Topsail,  the  win also got them back to even at 1-1.
 West Brunswick was taken down by Topsail 50-14 when the teams last played  back in September of 2023. Can West Brunswick avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
