Tri-Eastern recap October 8, 2013
Union City led Tri-Eastern in scoring this week by notching 48 points on Cambridge City Lincoln.
Winchester's dynamic duo of Dustyn Hangen and Kiante Enis proved to be unstoppable against Jay County, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hangen threw for 35 yards and Enis had 35 yards receiving.
Kelsy Kirkland provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Northeastern defeated Union County.
Centerville's Tyler Weaver and Austin Hall led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Weaver has thrown for 904 yards this season, while Hall has 16 catches for 384 yards. The Knights' Kirkland leads the league in rushing yards with 1,029.
As it stands, the Golden Falcons are in second, while Tri is in sixth.
Northeastern made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,435 from 9,944. The improvement was the result of a 44-10 victory over the Patriots last week.
