Alexandria City and South County are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2017, but not for long. The Titans will be home for the holidays to greet the Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Alexandria City has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while South County will arrive with three straight wins.

On Wednesday, Alexandria City was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 49-44 to West Springfield.

Alexandria City's loss came about despite a quality game from Kaiden Thompson, who posted 18 points along with five boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Jayden Walker, who had 13 points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South County). They secured a 68-62 W over Woodson on Wednesday.

Alexandria City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for South County, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Alexandria City didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against South County in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 73-68 win.
